"Welcome! Thank you for coming to our site today. Rudee Inlet is a very special place and one that I hold close to my heart. I believe with a little recognition and support for our community we can continue to preserve this beautiful place.
My goal is to build awareness so generations ahead of us can enjoy our little piece of paradise. I encourage you to join us today. My door is always open for any questions or ideas. Thank you for supporting us!"
About our founder: Meredith Cummings
According to its origin, the name Meredith means “Protector of The Sea” and if you know her, the meaning could not be more correct. Meredith believes that humans and the environment can be in balance and thus is the goal of the Rudee Inlet Foundation.
Meredith transitioned to the area in 2007 looking for a connection with the water. In her journey, she started Surfing Gals, a group that not only surfs but also gives back to the local community.
Through these efforts, Meredith became aware of the amazing secret called Rudee Inlet and decided that a community presence was needed for such a beautiful place.
Meredith started Rudee Inlet Foundation in July 2011 with the goal of preserving, nurturing, and improving Rudee Inlet.
