Founder: Meredith Cummings
According to its origin, the name Meredith means “Protector of The Sea” and if you know her, the meaning could not be more correct. Meredith believes that humans and the environment can be in balance and thus is the goal of the Rudee Inlet Foundation.
When Meredith transitioned here in 2007, looking for a connection with the water, she found her passion in surfing. In her journey, she started Surfing Gals, a group that not only surfs but also gives back to the local community. Through the efforts of Surfing Gals, Meredith became aware of the amazing secret called Rudee Inlet and decided that a community presence was needed for such a beautiful place.
Meredith started Rudee Inlet Foundation in July 2011 with the goal of preserving, nurturing, and improving Rudee Inlet.
