My worst experience with a lawyer. If you plan to use this company for the transfer, follow my advice and walk a mile. They never answered my calls, never answered any of my emails and I was never able to seek legal advice at any point during my transfer process, even though I paid over £2000 in legal fees. I have only ever managed to talk to a receptionist who is not legally qualified to give advice. I never managed to talk to a qualified lawyer until she finally called me when it was too late to do anything anyway. Absolutely horrible customer service. I lost £4000 on my sale because they failed to move forward with my transfer of ownership which was a simple rental apartment and lasted almost 6 months! Avoid this avocado at all costs. My experience was actually in 2021, but I was simply able to file this review because I didn`t want to jeopardize my ombudsman complaint that I had filed against them. By the way, legal mediators were just as useless as the lawyer himself, so don`t bother relying on them if, like me, you find yourself in a bad situation. Beaumont Legal is a leading UK law firm specialising in several practice areas at the intersection of legal and financial services, including transfer of ownership, wills and probates, commercial law and litigation. Headquartered in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, Beaumont Legal helps clients make what is usually the biggest financial decision of their lives: buying and selling a home.
The company takes this responsibility very seriously and ensures that the security of its home and branch network meets a comprehensive list of strict and industry-specific regulatory standards for legal and financial cybersecurity. Beaumont was recommended to us by our real estate agent and Oliver was our lawyer. He was amazing! There were some very frustrating moments with our buyers, but Oliver made us feel comfortable and stayed calm even when we weren`t! He was always on the other end of the line and kept us informed with emails. He was very professional and understanding and we recommend using Beaumont for all legal property matters. We recently purchased our new home with Beaumont`s legal expertise. Julie Powell carried out the initial legal work efficiently and thoroughly and provided us with the relevant information. Our file was then forwarded to Bethan, who was assisted by Jodie. Bethan and Jodie have been great in providing us with frequent updates. They were also proactive in tracking developers when updates were missing. Overall a great experience.
We would not hesitate to use Beaumont again and recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you to everyone involved in our transaction. My experience with Beaumont Legal has been very good. Given the external factors within my channel, my lawyer Michelle Rock was very clear and concise about what was exceptional and always kept me informed. She was always very polite, friendly and very approachable, which was much appreciated as a first-time buyer. Thank you, Michelle. We negotiated Oliver Dyson from Beaumont Legal for our move. Oliver was amazing! The other lawyers in the chain were extremely problematic, insensitive, indifferent and seemed overwhelmed and unable to facilitate anything. Oliver was quite the opposite, totally professional, very knowledgeable and extremely responsive and happy to discuss any issues.
Oliver has also played a leading role in providing solutions and getting things done for other lawyers. Without him, the purchase would have failed. Probably a little more than a cheap promotion service, but 100% what you need to do. Can`t recommend it enough! Beaumont Legal provides legal services that closely overlap with banking and financial services such as mortgages. Since she represents her clients in large monetary transactions, it is crucial that the law firm protects her and her financial information with the rigour of a bank. Beaumont Legal turned to Forcepoint and MSSP partner NETprotocol to replace a network security solution that could not provide redundant Internet connectivity and firewall protocol. Today, Forcepoint NGFW offers secure and maximum availability to both Beaumont Legal offices, helping the law firm easily pass industry cybersecurity certification tests. For over 200 years, Beaumont Legal has provided legal services to individuals and businesses in the UK.
LegalZoom uses ABS to circumvent US ban on hiring lawyers June 8, 2021 Nasdaq: $100 million listing proposal US legal services giant LegalZoom is circumventing the national ban on non-legal firms by letting its UK alternative corporate structure (ABS) employ US lawyers. The details came in a registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission ahead of a planned $100 million (£70 million) listing on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in New York. The statement also revealed that LegalZoom sold its Yorkshire-based property transfer business last year because it fell short of expectations. LegalZoom, which claims to be the best-known legal brand in America, reported revenue of $471 million in 2020 with an EBITDA margin of 19%.
